Student Information for what you will have at the school.

There are three bunkhouses and many tent and RV spots at the school.

There is a laundry, 4 full bathrooms and several outhouses’.

Medford International is the airport to fly into and we will pick you up and return you to fly home.  Look for the best airfare.  We are good to have people come early and get started studying, helping, and enjoying the area.  We encourage those flying in to enjoy the day after graduation on Sunday when we do a scenic drive around Oregon and returning home in the late evening.

Our area is a dead cell area and we have a phone program that allows long distance for home calls.

You can bring your own horses and the board is free but, you must repay the hay or bring your own.

If you have a well behaved dog come with you that is fine with us as we like animals and have kennels if they are not behaving.

Some spouses and parents have come that are not interested in horses but, they needed to be here are welcome on approval and we try to make room where we can.

Our kitchen is large and can accommodate 30 and is a hub of conversation.

We want everyone to feel like it is their house and make things happen ie: cooking, cleaning, and letting us know if there is a problem with accommodations.

We have many refrigerators to keep your special (marked for you foods).  The pantry is big so if you don’t like the menu you will be able to fix something different.

Breakfast 7:30 to 8:45 and class starts 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Classroom time will be lecture, tool handling, mapping and more the first two days, followed by variety of morning lectures and then arena work throughout the day.

Saturday is graduation at 11 a.m. so people can leave if they need to get back home.  Students that don’t have to leave after graduation can continue to trim in the arena, study or relax.  We generally go out for dinner “no host” to a fun restaurant afterwards

If you have special medical or comfort needs feel free to ask and we will try to make it happen for you.
