O.S.N.H.C. 2009 SCHEDULE

"The Whole Horse Trim" sessions

Trimming, anatomy, diet, housing, wound care, laminitis and founder, abrasive trimming

Horses, Mules, Donkey's and Mini's

cost for this session is $1200.00

Students are giving a packet with trimming DVD, and reading material prior to school

tools (rasp/handle/sheath, 2 FD knives, knife sharpener,

gloves, custom arm guards,

best trimmers bag for all those tools, , manual, educational CD's and more included

Also included is lodging and food, great location for learning, and enjoyment.

We limit the student base to 16 so there is constant teacher mentoring in the arena

Teachers available for the professional, or the very beginner.

"Advanced Trim Session" 2nd level

Students will be given materials to study prior to coming

DVD's taking your knowledge beyond trimming ie. reading xrays, veterinary jargon and more.

Also trimming and working with founder, aged and injured horses.

 Understanding nutrition for healthy equines

Understanding lameness, joint damage, difficult cases

Working with pathological hooves

Cadaver studies

Learning how to take radiographs that tell you more

Safety working with the unstable horse and how to lift the stubborn hoof and more.

Also included is lodging and food, great locaton for learning, and enjoyment.

This session takes the equine trimmer up the next level,

          November 1-7, 2009
