Looking from the natural apex and you will see a piece of tissue that is going to the toe of these 2 foundered

hooves.  The 1st 2 are the same foot a few weeks later.  The right is the opposite hoof.  I peeled back and

pared off some of the tissue in the center of the sole to the toe.  It does have tubules that look like sole but

longer like wide frog tubules.  This strap is very strong and I felt some of the digital cushion material (fibrocartilage)

could be mixed in when the sensitive frog and is drug forward with the degree of founder type of case has.

When I started with this hoof the sole was is shredded layers as is many founders.  But this picture shows the

founder strap clearly and then you can still see it in the top middle a few weeks later.

The founder in this capsule was older and much demineralization in the coffin bone. The founder strap is so strong it

can divide and girdle the sole creating a lift to each side of it. Even after removing the laminar wedge in the qtrs so the

hoof care become round again, if you look closely their is still a founder strap in the healthier sole

This horse had feet that were not only diseased by held together with filler on his egg bars.

The foot began to move into the more natural shape in 2 trims.  the founder strap in the third picture

started to lift and i dug until I could actually pull it like a licorise stick.  There was another strap

underneath and as we continued to do the founder trims on this hoof the shape, heels and bars relaxed

to a better form.
